PIOUS WOMEN

Sayyidah Nafîsah bint H asan bin Zayd bin H asan bin ‘Alî ra d iyallâhu ‘anhum

She is from the progeny of Rasûlullâh s allallâhu ‘alayhi wa sallam because she is the granddaughter of Zayd who is the grandson of ‘Alî ra d iyallâhu ‘anhu . She was born in Makkah in the year 145 A. H. She was brought up in ‘ibâdah . When Imâm Shâfi‘î went to Egypt, he used to visit her regularly.

Lesson : O women! Her knowledge and piety was the reason for such a great Imâm to visit her. You should also acquire knowledge of the Dîn , practice upon it, and thereby attain piety and greatness.
