Foreword

The advent of Islam in Indo-Pakistan Thus when the sun of Islam rose over the horizons of Arabia with all its glamour, its rays enlightened the Indo-Pakistan soil as well. Islamic culture and civilization began to penetrate into it, and Islamic character started its reflection in the individual and collective lives here. Efforts made by Muslim traders, scholars and spiritual personalities contributed to the growth of the power and glory of Islam, which lasted for 800 years till the advent of British Imperialism.

mpact of the prolonged Muslim rule in the sub-continent really deserves detailed discussion, which would require a book. However, it will not be out of place to mention here that the standard of education and cultural growth of Muslims in this area had no parallels in the past. Also, in resisting the powerful cultural invasion mounted by the British imperialism and working for the survival of Islamic culture and civilization, the scholars (Ulema) of land wrote the finest chapter in the history of courage, nobility, sacrifice, religious dignity and self-respect.

Establishment of Islamic Institution in Pakistan

With the creation of God-gifted Islamic State of Pakistan, majority of Religious Centres and Islamic Institutes fell within the territorial limits of Bharat and thus the paucity of such Institutions began to be felt seriously in Pakistan. Soon, through the sincere efforts of the Islamic scholars (Ulama) of Pakistan, numerous mosques and religious institutions started appearing in the newly born State Through well concerted efforts of noble Muslim scholars these Institutions sprang up in every corner of the country including Karachi, Lahore, Hyderabad, Rawalpindi, Multan, Peshawar and Quetta, to name a few.
