Assalam-o-Alaikum
May we listen recitation of Holy Qur'an and its translation on CDs or Cassettes while we are busy in some other works but listening attentively the Holy Quran's translation? Will it not be sinful?

Recitation from a cassette or CD is not real. Therefore, the specific orders for recitation do not apply on it. That is why if you hear AYAA-E-SIJDA from cassette or CD, the SIJDA does not become WAJIB or necessary.However, since it is shape of vocal recitation, hence due respect and reverence is must and it should be rather heard with full respect so that we may not come in the line of disrespectful people.
