Muhtarram Mufti Sahib.

Assalaam-o-Alaikum
There are few important questions raised in our community. Please respond to us with the references.(1) Is it allowed for women to cut her hair or shorten her hair etc? Why or why not?(2) Is there any Zakaat due on diamond and pearls?(3) If a husband divorces his wife during her monthly period, will it be valid?

Assalaam-o-Alaikum
(1) The cutting or trimming of a woman's hair is prohibited in Islam.(2) There is no Zakat on diamonds or real pearls prescied they are not meant for business.(3) Talaaq shall stand established even if pronounced by husband during the menstrual period of wife.
