Respected Mufti Sahib,
Assalaam-o-Alaikum
What do Islamic Ulamma say about the following?(1) Is the husband permitted to perform intercourse with his wife during the month of Muharram-ul-Harram, particularly during the 10th of Muharram?(2) Is intercourse with wife prohibited during any days after than the fasting days of Ramadan and the menstrual period of wife?
Thank you,
Haseeb Ahmad

(1) The reported version of prohibition of performing intercourse with wife or solemnizing marriage on the 10th of Muharram or during the whole month of Muharram is a baseless propaganda of the illiterate people. There is no reference of it in Shareeha.(2) Performing intercourse with wife during her menstrual period is, however, prohibited as ordered in the Holy Qur'an.(3) As regarding Fasts, the very defination of Fasts calls for prohibition of eating, drinking and intercourse. Similarly intercourse is prohibited during Eharm-e-Hajj or Umrah and Eitekaaf of any kind.
Allah knows the best.
